    Re: Neff H5972N0GB/01 microwave

these units are based on the Panasonic design using an invertor and magnetron. the unit detects if the mag has energised properly and if it does not it will abort the programme. Normally after 10 to 15 secs. it is likely that when the unit aborts it goes into the cool down mode.
with your fault, if the microwave fuse is ok it is likely to be the mag ( but I cant promise ) . look at the magnets to see if one of them is damaged
unfortunately you cannot be certain of the invertor until you put a new mag in

no idea if it will fot but if you fit an outside vent cover with flaps on it it should stop reverse flow

have a close look at the filter. if gauze is blocked it does this

also hose does not have to be blocked just partially obstructed at the sump

Getting info for logic products is about as easy as getting an audience with the pope.

what is wrong with the flap as they seldom fail. there job is to stop air coming back the other way so unless it is vented to outside its not really needed

I would have a good look at the contacts on the switch behind the left hand knob. sounds like a contact has burnt out

think you may find the thermostat you have turns the fan on so should be open until it gets hot

Re: Random magnet found in Siemens washer.

Ken sound like he is bang on look at the picture of the motor I have added

magnet should be under the cover indicated.

it should not be loose enough to fall off so if its not damaged put a little glue onto it as you put it back. use something like Evostik or bostik not superglue as you have more time to get it positioned and you wont stick your fingers together. let it dry before you start to use it for washing

if the magnet is not there the motor speed will be uncontrollable so the unit will spin on wash

cannot confirm fault code but ntc faults can come and go with ambient temp. Have had repairs where machine would start if you poured a pan of hot water in first

yours seems to be the mechanical timer. watch it fill and closely watch the timer. does the timer knob try to move forward and then click back and carry on filling ?
