thats funny just come back from sililar machine with same prob
removed pcb cleaned all terms and connectors
machine started changed programmes no probs
put it all back together and ran a rinse
stopped machine half way through and went back to same problemnext action would be to send boards to emw but i suggested that as hotpoint made this rubbish maybe they should bear some of the cost and claim on the free parts warrenty. so thats what she is looking into. if i send boards to emw and they work on the day then we will never find problem and after that hotpoint wont touch it

As you have realised H20 is some clever clogs programmers idea of a subtle hint., ie, H20 as in water. It does mean that the machine has ‘timed out’ on fill. If the valves themselves are faulty then you should get a different error code. Do you have a poor water pressure or ‘dirty’ mains water? Have you removed the fill hoses and put them into a bucket and turned the taps on, sometimes the modern poorer quality plastic Red & Blue taps can appear to be turned on when in reality it is only the plastic that is turning and not the tap.
hope this helps

ModeratorRe: Electrolux Wascator W124 (launderette machine)
as with any machine you will have to strip it to find the full problems
never stripped one but from picture if drum shaft is ok then bearings and seal should be in hub
pulley will need a puller from photo looks like a special tool bolts through holes in pulley and pushes shaft off might get it off with a three legged puller but if you pull too hard the pulley will break
if i were you i would strip machine before you order parts and quote a price for doing so even if machine cant be fixed
Dave
ps you could ring wascator and ask them a call out and a price if bearings had gone as a guide

I can’t see how the air is blown through the heater assembly?
dont know this machine but from above comment i assume the fan is not below the element
if this is the case then it work on a vacuum system like the white knight
air is blown out of the dryer and the only way this air can be replaced is through the drum pulling air through the heater
problems with this system is if a main drum seal fails ( or the door seal) especially at the front air will enter without going over the heater causing it to overheathope this helps

fairly common for the solder contacts on the board to go
take programme to bits and check relays for bad solder joints

? is heater working ok
ie half heat only or exhaust stat not working properly
if its working ok you would expect a lot of steam to come out of dryer when door is opened mid cycle
