you need to know if the microwave is firing up put a test meter on the transformer primary (240v side ) and see if you get mains when you activate. no use looking at mag and the like if you got no power. you can disconnect the secondary so you dont have high voltage floating about
yes diode needs at least 9v to be able to show it works ok

hope this should move you forward get back to me if you want more input

sounds like the triac that feeds the interlock has blown but with no display as well this sounds a bit serious. have a close look at the board look for blown components. use a magnifying glass. suggest you have a word with emw they may take a look even if it is not a board the normally look at

can send you wiring diags and the like this machine is a zanussi build.
boards are about £100 but i need the production number there are 3 types of this machine
    prod number 914601 + 20600 or 22400 or 22401

have never cleaned coms but advise customer to keep away from heavy loads and use low spin speed for 10 washer to aid bedding in especially on the hoover p55 motor which seems to hate new brushes

have not seen this model but from your description i assume it is in series with the diode to earth
this is a fuse meant to blow if the diode goes short circuit. Will go without it but i would fit a new diode

as with all parts fitted by manufacturer you have to be careful even though the oven will opererate safely there is always the big IF if something goes wrong and the fuse is not there could you get sued for not putting this part in even though thousands of oven dont have them

if it was me think i would risk this one and you could always say it was not in when you fixed it and who could deny that
    hope this helps

e91 you are correct lists faults as Wiring faulty; Faulty control/display board Main PCB faulty.

fault e90 if this was on the display the cutomer would use this makes sense if you go into diagnostics will then give true code

have a word with emw see if they have tests for panel yet

i carry debor use it on screws as an antishake or to screw tacho magnets into zannussi machines if i used superglue it may go off bfore bolt is tight or fully home superglue is one of those last resort answers and i dont want to spend rest of the day with my thumb and forefinger stuck together lol 😆

not sure what u may have missed but i would try it this way

get customer to put wet towels in machine make sure it is on full heat and go around about an hour into programme then if fault develops when hot it should easier to find

or take it home for the weekend but thats your electric

either way its either an air flow problem or a heat problem

    hope this helps

its the fact it can go for a month and then fails thats causing problems you cannot convince a customer a part is faulty if it does not fail all the time and despite turning on and off repeatedly pump never fails while i am there
could be one of those faults that needs to get worse before diagnosis
i will have to wait and see

    thanks for input

i use a tap to clear the blue anti shake compound from the spider thread then find a bolt and washers to screw in the back of the spider then belt seven bells out of it with a lump hammer. you can spray wd40 down shaft to try to help but in effect it can be brut force and hope the plastic does not give way
