Participantwell documented problem, and the only real cure is a new modified drum, part number 1703662
no more washers and stuff, put drum in, walk waway, job done
but then theres the costing of it………

Participantto be fair (and please dont take this the wrong way ) theyre hardly going to send an engineer with a compressor, because you say its gone, its usually the case, and quite often, customers, misdiagnose faults
and secondly, there will be multiples of compressors fitted depending on the model/serial number, so maybe he just didnt have the right one
and its another typical example of merloni cornering an already declining market, no way could your local guy touch that price…
sad, but a common occurence im afraid

Participantcant say a lot, cos its a gas cooker..
chances are, the sonoid/ffd assembly has gone faulty, and blown the clock
get an engineer (corgi registered) as its a job for a ‘competent’ person

Participantmore likely to be a faulty thermostat/pump/float switch
helo_75
Participantid still be trying to keep the outbuilding warmish
u really wouldnt believe how many customers i see who have done what youve done, then kick off when i tell them it just wont work
proofs in the pudding im afraid

Participantthey plainly do not work

ParticipantRe: Another Samsung Side-by-Side…..
ice_man wrote:errr yes they will Mac, did i say they will fix it? No its BER so it can’t be fixed – they will look at depreciated refund based on expected life of an appliance regardless of warranty or not.
Pleach give them a call they will help you out.
2 posts in and shouting the odds?
mac has a point
the responsibilty lies with the retailer, not the manufacturer
thats who you need to contact, not samsung…. you might ge a little luckier if you try it that way
