Re: What do Zanussi offer unlucky customers with blown PCBs?

I thought I might as well get her to ring them. I didn’t bother taking out the board for a look as it was an on/off light only showing and swapping lock made no difference. (Old lock had clear yellow/brown burn mark).
Told her that if they didn’t offer any substantial discount then I would return for another look, if she wished. Didn’t look closely at machine but it had that clean, looked after look about it.

Is it a problem of low water pressure? If so just pull the rubber restrictor washer and its plastic thing out of the water valve. (That’s assuming they still have them, some time since I last looked).

Looks like PMP3413 £11.80 @ Connect. “Fits DOMINOD545 P503X 641X 861 aquamatic 570X 611X 807X 809X 811X 861X plaset 53336” If you still don’t have a Connect account, Jim maybe you can track it down from those model numbers. Or get someone else to get you one.

Well, it’s a plus that there’s a few of us night owls around. Public and trade can get their questions answered 24/7.
Me, I get up about 8.30am or later. Sometimes make an exception on a nice sunny morning. Can often be at work at 6/7pm though as customers are home from work.

Whenever I get a fault like that I’m reminded of those couple of rare occasions when I found a short circuit water valve. Of course this only applies where the valve is in series with the pump.

Incidentally, make sure to change the lock before even attempting to test the machine. As we all know, a faulty lock can damage the PCB!

Give GIAS 01204 556111 a ring. They’ll probably e-mail you an exploded view. Check that model no. first though!

Anyway all the detergent and grease and stuff in the dirty water will help to silence it.

I don’t use debor in that place. It’s only a small risk but once cured debor catches alight it carries on burning! I don’t remember how I learnt this but I must have done some sort of experiment at some time in the past 😳 .

If you mean the old 4 tag type, no I am pretty sure it will not work and might even damage something trying. Not worth the risk. Get at least two new ones at a good discount from Masterpart. You will use them up pretty soon!

The 5 yr g’tee wasn’t given. She paid extra for it of course. But it’s out now.
I don’t think the board was new as it had a plug in eeprom.

Re: Indy WE16S mark3 board. Which is heater relay?

She doesn’t want to spend that sort of money and only get a six month guarantee. Also, I’m not at all sure the module is the problem. (She claims local Indesit franchisee put “new” board in about 9 months ago under 5 yr g’tee.) I wonder if perhaps he just changed the eeprom.

Anyway time spent learning doesn’t count against a man’s life.

AAAARGH! Customer on phone this afternoon. It did one wash, then back to F08 again. Well, she’s going away for 5 weeks now so it’s going to wait till she gets back. Then I’ll give it one more go, pressure switch maybe, and that’ll be it. Works OK on 30* apparently so has to be heater circuit.
