Think it comes as complete side tank. Very expensive so most people just solder in a new reed switch.

    Re: Miele W487WPS W/M problem

A likely reason for water in base is door seal dribbling due to one or other of the usual reasons. On these new Mieles it seems to be directed into the collector pan.

Certainly does. Probably will have some visible damage and may be repairable. EMW?

Only ever seen this once myself and that was a Hotpoint early WM series hybrid timer and new timer cured it. Can’t see what else it could possibly be.
Probably skip time. Er.. I mean time for the skip.
    Mike.
Edit: Cheap and cheerful (temporary?) solution while they save up for a Bosch: Plug in timer in wall socket.

    Re: Hotpoint WD420

I’d be inclined to cut my losses and send customer to Hotpoint. (That’ll teach ’em to buy such junk.)
Trouble is EMW will probably want to keep sending you back with replacement boards unless you speak to ’em nicely on the phone and explain the situation and that you’d like the original board back or some sort of deal.
This is where the EMW system falls down occasionally. They’ll probably have already repaired your original board and sent it off to someone else so, in their view, the board you have now belongs to them if they refund you.
Trouble is all their boards come with a sticker saying something like, “rare board, please return exchange within 5 days” which doesn’t leave time for proper extended testing by customer. (I always advise customer to give the machine hell for a few days and only then send back the exchange.)

in reply to: Ariston AWD12S over filling #363662

    Re: Ariston AWD12S over filling

Could be pressure switch has intermittent blockage, or has
itself gone intermittent. Module connections might need sorting out with a sewing needle or could be as you say, module. (EMW time?)
Getting a bit ancient now. (May be a museum piece where that brand is concerned.) Fix it this week and like as not it’ll throw up an f08 next, or the drum’ll collapse.(Grrr.)

Can you give us the ebay item number for that as I can’t find it!
Can’t even find the handle on its own at Connect. And the kit is £7.01 there to me 👿

£5.96 incl. vat and RM 1st class delivery.
Compares with £6.49 ea or £5.99ea if you buy two excl vat excl. delivery had I bought it as trade.
I really don’t quite understand why they do this. It’s not as if the people who buy odds and sods like this off ebay are going to turn into loyal customers.
I pressed the buttons to pay for this at 10.33am Monday. The part was only marked as despatched on Tuesday at 4.49pm according to my emails. It didn’t get here till Thursday. Not brilliant performance on that score. I’d have done better to pay a few pence extra and get it from LM electrical (Taunton, I think) Their stuff always arrives next day.
Were any explanations offered at the meetings?
