ParticipantRe: new BOSCH – Classixx 7 WTA74200GB
I have the exact same dryer and find if the load is too small then yes it will cut out after a few minutes. A larger load and it works fine. For small loads I use the timed dryer function which works fine.
It’s one of the irritants of these modern sensor dryers in that the sensor is far too sensitive. Trying to make sense of it gets you nowhere, learning its frailties challenging to say the least. Once you learn this then I find my dryer is OK and I’d give it 8/10. 🙂

Then pull the drawer out and clean the inlet nozzles of the dispenser cavity. Also check the water inlet filter.

Both heater and pump are inexpensive.

You risk damaging the motor totally so maybe not a good idea. 🙁

Error code 3 always comes up if the drain out time exceeds 4.5 minutes. It also comes up if the heater has an earth leak. But by disconnecting the feeds to the heater has proved, for the most part at least, that the heater is sound. Therefore the conclusion is that that noisy pump you have is clapped out and needs replacing. Though checking the sump hose and the pump outlet hose for potential restrictions would be worthwhile in any case.
Also, time how long it takes to drain out a load of soapy rinsing water. (It should be less than 60 seconds as a rule) 4.5 minutes is a very generous drain out phase it must be said. 😉

Just a label the same size as the offending Qualtex label and placed directly on top is all that’s required.
Personally I don’t have an issue with parts and labelling or where it comes from or what it advertises. It’s my part, at my price, take it or leave it.

You didn’t include your concerns over their adverts of their on-line retailing website George.

Idea: Why not cover the offending advertising with your own label?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Logixx Tumble Dryer keeps cutting out!
It is sounding like a fault with the main power board. 🙁

Probably a Size2x3/8 stainless steel screw but drilling into such a thin drum accurately and without incident challenging in the extreme.

ParticipantRe: BLACK RESIDUAL DUST ON CATALYTIC OVEN LINERS
You cannot clean the catalytic liners with any type of cleaning agent or cloth. The rough carbon like surface is designed to self clean when normal oven heat is applied. The ‘dust’ is the fall-out of fat from the liners surface that falls on the oven base. There comes a point in the life of the liners where excessive fat saturation cannot be contained and the only recourse is to purchase new liners.

Drilling into wafer thin stainless will be challenging. I bet they don’t include a stainless screw either?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel 1200 Express poor spin
Hmm…..? If it spins the brushes are at least sound. The problem most likely is the water isn’t draining away fast enough. So if the pump trap (aka Filter) is clear then either the hose to it or from it are partially blocked by something. If the drain hose terminates at a shared coupling with the sink then that needs removing and checking too.

It sounds as though the motor brushes are arcing. Time to check them I suggest.

ParticipantRe: Neff Double Oven Fault
Almost certainly (as Dave suggests) the fan element (Part no: 00499003) will need replacing.
