Possibly the main on/off switch in the control panel has failed? I recommend expert help (see link below 🙂 )

    Re: Bosch salt/rinse aid lights

Fully topping up the salt container AND the rinse aid compartment will give you 3 WEEKS supply if the machine is used ONCE every day. In any case you cannot overfill either, therefore if you ensure you top-up whenever yours guests ‘change-over’, you will be OK 🙂

3 in one tablets “DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY ON THE TIN” by the way 😉

    Re: Site very slow.?

Lets face it guys but due to the increased traffic at peak times this site simply is not up for the job!

I’ve fuffed and farted around thinking it must be at my end, rebooted my PC more times than I’ve had hot dinners suspecting I’ve done something wrong. No way….!

10 million views by springtime? Dream on! It coughs and splutters like an old steam train just when you need the info within in seconds, I’ve been 30 minutes trying to get a page to load after which it comes up “Server not found!”……..bugger it, I’ll come back before I go to bed to see if it fires up then?

We all love to hate those MDF lids but I’ve yet to come across one that has gone up in smoke?

The later series Bosch back panels are classic C.R.A.P (which is unusual terminolgy used on this brand name I agree) But they are just fixed with one torx screw at the bottom, any pressure placed against that panel and it falls off! Many a time I have found said panel has fallen off and rolled behind the sink unit 🙁

    No wonder back panels …dissappear!!!

    Simmy,

With respect to my learned colleagues, from what you have reported so far I reckon your motor is OK

Your problem is more likely the supply from the module?

    Fidder,

Very often the Motorised Selector Unit (91201337) goes Awol by itself 🙁

The internal spring is a weakness apparently and often just clicks around for no reason. There have been instances of them skipping just spin only but I guess your one doesn’t just do that?

Check out the rest of the machine of course first but my money is on the Motorised Selector Switch 😉

    Whoops! 😳

I’ve re-read your post Jim and Andy is correct in that a complete motor the only answer in this case. The TOC blowing is not a good sign and its a 50/50 chance the armature is duff. 096331 possibly may work however if you have one to try first that is 😉

Re: British Gas To Drop Appliance Servicing?

Very interesting news, rumour or not many of us are all too aware of the high cost of servicing. The bigger they are the heavier the fall unless it is managed correctly. Comments abound over mismanagement at all levels within BG so I for one am not surprised at this latest rumour.
