What you don’t know Simon is how many of your customers have called out your local competition for a free estimate then come to you and got it fixed for a paltry profit at best, loss at worst. 🙁

Most dryers these days have electronic temperature control using NTC’s which will not work below +5C. You will need to source one still using mechanical thermostat. A rare beast indeed.

Possibly White Knight still make one?

There is only one ‘Control Module’ to your machine the part number is 00641159. It costs £61.72 including VAT direct from Neff via their website. If you order from anywhere else you’ll get ripped off. It will also come with ‘configuration instructions’ enclosed. (Order elsewhere and you don’t necessarily get those vital instructions even after being ripped off beforehand).

The test I suggested in lifting the float to see if the pump works virtually guarantees that the Control a Module is at fault. I do not advise live testing of the door switch or the on/off switch as what you have done proves they work fine.

    Re: SHV55M03 GB

The drain pump is probably fine and not blocked at all. What is more likely is water in the base. Tipping it forward to drain off the water in that base is a no no hence the current problem.

This DIY started out badly compounded further by it being a built in machine. Indeed it has to come out to fix whatever is wrong. But I would advise caution and start by ensuring it is disconnected from the mains supply first and foremost.

I suspect it has an internal leak that is causing the anti-flood device to operate. A little careful surgery is required from now on in and don’t ever tip it forward, or sideways either in future. :plug:

I didn’t know that insulation testers come with operating instructions, whatever next?

They’ll be giving cranky advice and wobbly videos in YouTube next 😐

It’s integral to the circulating pump (or in Bosch speak ‘Heatpump’).

    Enjoy!

Easiest check of all : With the power on lift the anti-flood lever on the LHS. If the drain pump operates the Control Unit (aka PCB) is faulty.

We don’t encourage LIVE testing Mr Melec here in the UKW :zap:

I wouldn’t buy if given the choice. Fan ovens should reach temperature with 5 – 7 minutes. You don’t want to buy a dog of an oven do you?

There are 2 long screws that hold it just down from the top of the door plus 2 screws behind the blanking plug on the side of the stainless door panel.

Some Bosch (mostly top end), Miele…… err? Maybe some obscure brand otherwise that’s it.

    Why bother asking?

Logic says it has to be a pressure switch problem. From the posts so far I cannot believe it a CPU issue at all, that’s a nonesense. Buy one at your peril. 🙁
