Yes a new Solenoid Valve (Part No: 265772) should solve the problem

Indeed not, no measurements are given.

It was only my presumption as such a device would have to be contained within these parameters to enter the UK domestic market.
…which I believe would be an impossiblity.

Its usually associated with the ‘better’ models 😉
Oh! and the White Knight thing is not quite correct, CROSSLEE are the manufacturers of both White Knight and the budget range Bosch machines. And they are pretty good overall whatever as long as it has that all important S/Steel drum mind you….. ❓

The good news is all the door parts are available (all sold individually) so what part of the door is broken and is the door hinge OK?

JonC wrote:My washing machine is running quite loud now in a whining way, could this be because of not dressing?
If it only sparks during the fastest spin, then read my earlier posting. If it sparks at most speeds then the armature is at fault and a new motor required. Also if you look closely at the commutator segments and one or two are blacked or marked more than the others, your motor is duff 🙁

The clues as to what could be wrong are often in the original fault….? I would check your wiring to and from the heater box if I were you 😉

Jon,
Yes indeed, best not to allow them to do a fast spin first off. Better to let them do a long wash cycle instead 😉

David,
Not the timer at all I suspect, more likely the heating element. Does it get stuck at 2 points during the complete wash cycle?…Does it heat up the water at all I wonder??

As the fault is associated in this area it really would be your favourite option though, in spite of the fact its a fag taking the tank off and stuff 🙁
