Re: Bosch SRS43C12GB/14 stopped mid-cycle no lights on fuses

If you haven’t already done so I suggest you visit Bosch’s recall website repairaction.co.uk and get the urgent FREE recall. Chances are that’s your problem right there my friend. 😉

Perhaps the pressure switch is doing what it was pre-programmed to do by the electronic circuit board. And so the fault more likely associated with the board?

Sadly no. In the absence of the make and model you can only identify by checking the wattage stamped on the fixing bracket and measure the element as per the instructions below….

In the ‘good old BDA Hotpoint days’ we used Multilube BB and the Hotpoint part number (back then) was HL1541 😀

    Dishwasher rust hole repair?

That is the stuff. You can also buy locally in DK a repair kit for leaking vehicle fuel (petrol) tanks which is just as good.

    Bosch Logixx 7 problems

Have you carried out the usual troubleshooting advice first. Like checking the pump filter for example?

Heater at fault probably. What is the full model number (ENr no) of the appliance anyway?

    Re: Advice needed

If it was made clear to her that she should pay you the £60 and that she verbally agreed to that then a ‘verbal contract’ is sufficient in law to be on your side. Though, from what you tell us, it is likely she was miffed about another failure of her oven that she never intended to pay you irrespective of the mitigating circumstances. So, your next move would be to insist she pay the sum due within 7 days otherwise you will issue a summons through the small claim court. Which, for her, would incur court fee charges and possibly interest charges in addition. Often a threat of possible County Court Judgement is enough for some to just pay up anyway, but it’s a gamble for you.

Whatever, all this is costly for you and further time consuming. So the decision is simply do you pursue her for the money irrespective of cost as a matter of principle OR walk away?

Re: not a lot to show for 36 years

I am so so sorry to hear this news Simon. You, your brother Paul and I have worked together directly and indirectly over these many years. And as you know I worked alongside your father way back years before in our heady days at Hotpoint. So I truly am sad for you guys but at the same time know you have what it takes to pick yourselves up and move on. I wish you all the best for the future.

    Regards

    Martin.

Replacing that grill control switch would be the obvious solution then.

It doesn’t represent any error code. Error codes (e.g E00 – E18) are displayed. You’ll need to check machines components to find out what caused the bang now won’t you? 👿
