Re: New Washing Machine – Recommendations?

It’s a bodge George be honest. When the drum fractures then it’s structural integrity has been compromised beyond repair.

A small hole caused be a coin can be patched up, maybe? But again it’s a bodge whatever way you look at it. 🙁

    No problems.

Regards the oven/hob you’d best contact a local gas installer who will be best suited to advise. 💡

“Elderly parents” both only 64…..ease off, us engineers eclipse that and take exception to being referred to as ‘elderly’ 🙁

More likely the fault is with the door and door latch striker. Or the interlock plug has come loose?

Why remove it? Access to foreign objects trapped can be via heater removal or the sump hose. Much easier.

Thanks for that stratfordgirl. The guy at John Lewis said that their Miele fridge freezers were made by Liebherr and that they stock just Miele. I guess that the compressors are Liebherr and not the usual Italian Necchi sort?

    Ken, do lighten up.

Moral of the story: Steer clear of relying on wholesalers to supply special order stuff. Go out and find it yourself or you’ll lose a customer and a lot of goodwill with it!

It is NOT an error code by the way. Enough of the questions, time for you to get hands on and check out. You have plenty to work with to get to the bottom of the problem I would suggest. Enjoy! 😀

Heated and fan unit need a careful inspection. Power off before removing lid. :zap:

No “ballpark cost” for fixing I’m afraid. You’d best ask your local repair guy to inspect and quote.

    Yes.

    An internal leak somewhere.

macman35 wrote:and how do I check this please?

    Close visual inspection.

columbiers wrote:Great, how can i test this?

Virtually impossible to access to test though easy and inexpensive to replace. 💡

columbiers wrote:Just tested elements when the programme is running, doesn’t seem to be any voltage going to them?

It is not unusual for the wiring harness to have a broken wire due to vibration. So it may just be that?
