ParticipantRe: AEG Ergorapido charging LEDs question
As it is cordless and relies totally on its battery charging ability for its long term use I would advise returning it to the retailer and seek a replacement. Clearly it is faulty and AEG’s advice is sound even if their vacs aren’t. See if they can swap it for a Bosch – much better appliance IMO.

Yes Franz the 90 and the first option LED signifies the error code. Just count the flashes between pauses for the error code. 😀

ParticipantRe: AEG L1650A3 washer dryer doesn’t turn on.
It is more likely a power supply problem rather than the machine itself. Can you plug it in somewhere else even if it means a temporary hook up using an extension lead?

ParticipantRe: Hoover VHD 9440-80
Computer says no to that model number. 🙁
Edit : found a VHD944D-80, guess it’s that. Hmm? That coreboard probably gone AWOL but never come across those symptoms – yet anyway, sorry.

Hotpoint-spares web site gives that info anyway.

ParticipantRe: Hoover Washer/Dryer
The commutator wears as well as the brushes don’t forget so that may need cleaning up with a bedding stick. The uneven wear is as a result of one brush acting as the ‘leading’ brush, the other being the ‘trailing’ brush when spinning. Also check the worn brush for burned ends on the metal holder. If so that’s an indication of overheating, often a result on non-stop wash loads (i.e. soon as one load has finished another starts)

Sorry I can’t help you then with anything regarding PCB surface components or the messing with them. It’s a new board or the skip in my book. All I know from looking up the model number is, as I mentioned before, that there a two different boards fitted to this beast and depends on serial number which one is correct.

I think you are getting over-enthusiastic regarding child safety in the kitchen TBH. Curious though a young child may be I hardly think screwing a safety catch to the door of a otherwise harmless freezer is ever going to be a risk factor. Use high strength velocro strap if you must but leave off drilling holes in the metalwork please!

aqualectric wrote:Thanks Martin – but would the timer motor still run? It stops when you open the door and starts when the door is closed and start button pressed……..weird!
Weird indeed Steve especially so because, and according to the wiring diagram, the door switch cuts off the neutral return to the entire machine. So for the timer motor to continue to run could mean and earthed return was at large somewhere?

ParticipantRe: Leisure Roma 100. Fan oven has stopped working
It could be :-
The thermal trip?
The clock?
The selector switch?
The fan motor?Any and all of the above will need checking. If you have no experience in this type of electrical work I would advise calling in progressional assistance.
Do isolate the appliance from the power before removing any panels :zap:

ParticipantRe: reprogramming a PCb on a hotpoint
You will need to connect the board to the appliance you intend to programme. You cannot do it otherwise.
