The 3D sensor helps prevent uneven loads from spinning by monitoring the movement of a magnet attached to the top rear of the tub. Its on the opposite side to the valves at the rear.

There is a quirk with these machines where one of the smaller components , if it fails , can cause the symptons you describe. Try disconnecting each component individually and see if the board magically lights up. The 3D sensor at the rear is a favourite but it can also be the valve , pressure switch etc

Its not one I’ve seen but according to the error code it’s a miscommunication between the boards/one of them has lost its program . Unfortunately the only thing i can think of , aside from pcb replacement , that might work is flashing both boards to see if that clears the error and resets the machine. As far as I’m aware , only BSH have that ability.

My guess is this is the latest style dw . So the fault will probably be the ‘contact’ which is a small pcb on the LHS heat exchanger. There is also a possibility that the fault could be caused by low water pressure or even the flow rate wheel sticking but 9 times out of 10 , it’s the contact pcb.

Ask the customer to try and start the machine worth the door open. If she gets the same indication/beeps open as with the door closed them the lock has probably failed.

The amount of pressure that the stub comes under as the tray hits it buffer is very strong so I’d be very surprised if there is any kind of repair that would be strong enough. I’d be impressed if someone has come up with a method of repair

I know it’s a silly question , but you’re sure it’s the water inlet hose banging and not the drain hose? I have seen the drain hose on numerous occasions banging whilst the pump is pumping empty

Take the 4 screws out of the lower bottom access panel and remove. Mop out water probably in base operating flood protection float and the door should then open when appliance switched on…..then find source of leak/water 🙂

The water, when full , should reach just above the bottom of the salt pot lid. If the levels are correct , I’d next be looking at a blockage in the wash motor/sump connection. Have a feel around down the channel at approx the 2 o’clock position in the sump. You may find that there is an obstruction there.

If any of the smaller components fail on the 5v system , it can cause the display to blank out. Try disconnecting the 3D sensor , pressure switch etc one by one to see if the display reappears .

Check for underwear/sock trapped in the heater element above the sump hose / non – return ball .

All I can say is that 9 times out of 10 with this style of dryer , if the timer counts down after start but there’s no other action , the door lock is at fault.

Does it have the square door ? I’d be looking at the door lock 1st .

    Re: Bosch top draw moves?

There is a rear rail modification where a rail is fitted to the rear of the appliance which stops the rear wall from flexing , therefore ensuring a good connection between the top basket and rear connector.
