Its a childlock….and if the customer doesn’t use it , remove it from the lock and chuck it in the bin !!!

This is a table top dishwasher i think ?

There is a metering system on the Right hand side that can get blocked . Take off the outer cover and observe the water flow leading from the water softener down through a ‘float’ system. This may be gunged up.

If you host the pics on photobucket or image shack andpost them on here , we may be able to help.
Are the ‘blocky plastic things about 3 – 4 centimetres square with slots in the back ? They may be the blocks that fit between the outer door and hinge brackets at the bottom edge. IIRC they stop the door from buckling along its lower edge .

…..However , and i can’t be held responsible if it fails 🙂 there have been occasions where the hose has been refitted without the securing ring and then just smothered in a suitable sealant to hold it in place !!!

It is a ‘locking’ ring that is used to secure the dispenser fill hose into the outer tub and the only way to officially insert it is with the inner drum removed . The hose needs reseating and the ring inserted from inside the outer tub.

Bob , this may sound silly but is the appliance plugged in behind the machine ? If you pull the appliance fwd does the power go off then ?
I have a few occasions where the plug is behind the machine and gets stuck in to ‘tar’ back panel and then pulls itself slightly out the socket. Maybe when you’re pushing the pcb , you’re actually pushing the appliance and therefore the plug back in ?

    Worth a look

The probs with these models would normally show up with the freezer working fine but the fridge would fail to cool.

Let us know what happens after the defrost has been carried out .

Are you sure it’s ‘down there’ Martin ? Have you checked the tank springs where they hang on the cabinet ? The springs are known for wearing a groove in the ‘hole’ in the top of the cabinet. and this causes the springs to ‘jump’ at low revs .
New springs now come with 2 little ‘bushings that fit between the body and spring hook.

Its also possible to fix it by securing the top hook of the tank spring with a cable tie to stop it from jumping in the groove.

Looks like a door NTC short or damaged cable .

    machine working fine now,
could it have just been a blockage in the pressure switch tube all along?

Yes…and it may happen again with the E06 . They are a right royal pain the the backside . Its a SMEG built pile of poop and there is no ‘bell/pressure chamber . The pressure switch hose is fitted directly to the front drum case and so as a result , the whole front panel needs to be removed to gain access to clean the pressure hose gasket should it get very ‘sludged’ up !!

    Its a job i detest !!!

You need to reset it by entering test progamme.

Selector dial to 6 o’clock . hold spin speed button and turn selector dial one click clockwise then release spin speed button. Now turn selector dial back to off .

Appliance should now be set back to normal.

There’s a few F21 posts on the board concerning this ‘re-set’ Geoff if you have a quick search.

These average speed cameras on the A13 will have to be real lucky to trap anyone over 5mph let alone 50mph at peak times !! Its a bloody nightmare EVERY morning for those unlucky enough to have to drive on it .

It’ll prob be 3 secs then resetting – E10 is no inverter output – If he’s played around with the door , perhaps the door switches aren’t being made now ? Was it working before he replaced the glass ?

On the odd occasion , these have also been known to blow the 8/10a internal fuse if the door’s opened during use . The door switches must operate simaltaneously so a ‘wonky’ door can cause probs.

I always advise customers to pause cooking before opening the door if they need to check food.

If its a Neff then the 1st N is incorrect and doesn’t exist in the ENR model number.
Chances are its a U1320N2GB/01 which also fits in with the manafacturing date of Dec 2002 .
