Re: Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer broken down – help!

If the freezer rear panel was frozen then you may not have fully defrosted it as it can build up a lot of ice behind the panel.

Try turning it off for 48 hours / 2 Days then see if it works ok.

If it does and the problem returns after a few weeks the it could be a defrost heater fault

    Re: Checkatrade

Why not use all the free sites online.

Freeindex gives you almost like a webpage if you do not have a website and the more reviews you get the higher up the search engine list you go.

Yell, Hotfrog, plus many others give free listings plus once the pick up on you lots of freesites pick up on it and list you.

If you have a website put a link for the WTA on it and every time you make a post the web will pick up on it.

Every couple of weeks make slight changes to your free pages and it keeps you up the listing.

If you use the same phrase like makes / Manufacturers machines you repair three time e.g. Make three times or Manfactures thee times in your free advert the search engines pick this up.

Look for tips on how search engines find you and you will soon end up on top of the search.

I have now retired but when people search for fridge repairs, cooker repairs in the areas I covered I was nearly always top of the list without paying.

It may take a couple of Months but you will soon get to the top so why pay to advertise.

Check A Trade does not give a good example as you pay to advertise so you are unlikely to get many bad reviews as you are a paying customer.

If it is a free listing then you get a better view of what your business is like.

Re: Not a good start to the week.

The nearest I have had to that situation was I phoned the customer when I was on my way to visit and the customer told me her husband had died during the night.

She told me she would rebook after the funeral.

When I did get the call for a revisit it was from her daughter a couple of months later who said her mum had not phoned because she had a heart attack the following day due to the stress.

She was coming home and could I call to repair the fridge so she could get some food in for her mum when she comes out of hospital.

It must have been very stressful for her daughter.

This is the wet wall blown and it is not repairable as it has an internal leak.

As the repair they carried out has not worked and the fault was not diagnosed correctly I would contact them and ask for a refund.

There is always the small claims court if you do not get any joy.

Re: Liebherr cun 3903 not getting cold

If it has a slow internal leak when it was turned off the pipework can expand as it warms up so the gas can then leak out faster.

You will need to check if the compressor is running hot to find ot if this is the fault.

If the compressor is not running hot it may be a sensor fault.

Re: Liebherr cun 3903 not getting cold

Check to see if the compressor at the back is getting hot.

If the compressor is hot then it may be low on Gas.

You can check in the fridge as well to see if there is any movement on the wet wall / rear panel inside the fridge.

If it feels soft and has movement it may have an internal leak and would be non repairable.

As it was freezing up in the fridge this is the most likely fault

    Re: diplomat APP6302 starter relay

It is unlikely you will get this type of relay as they only came with the compressor.

The only relay that may be worth a try is a universal relay.

You should be able to get one from the WTA shop or connect.

They are not expensive so worth a try.

Try AWS or post a picture of the relay.

It could also be the drain heater.

Rare for a freezer heater to be faulty

The only general faults on a RS21 to trip the mains is fridge defrost or drain heater or the compressor.

It would need to be tested for earth faults with a. Meter as trial and error could cost more if you damage the consumer trip box.

Most likely the drain iced up due to a faulty drain heater.

Or the drain non return valve at the back can sometimes get blocked with fur if they have a dog in the house.

The trouble with same day/next day is the customers are not always available for same day / nexday calls.

This can make it look like you are not giving the correct service level.

It should be same day / next day or if the customer is not available same day / next day then it should be your own first available visit.

I am enjoying retirement now so I am glad not to have this type of problem now.

I would highly recommend it when you get the chance.

It sounds like it has a self defrost fault or a faulty sensor.

You will need to get an engineer to test it.

When you defrosted it did you leave it turned off 48 hours with the doors open to defrost it ?

Or did you just remove the frost from the panel in the freezer ?
