You need to check the fan at the front of the freezer as the plastic housing that holds the fan can sometimes come unclipped and falls apart.

Before you try to put the housing together make sure you turn of the power to the freezer.

If the fan is ok then you may have a compressor problem.

Re: Hoover Larder Fridge – Running Temperature

A better way to test the temperature is to have a glass or cup of water in the fridge and take the temperature of the water.

This will give you a more accurate temperature of any food kept in the fridge.

A domestic fridge should keep the food temperature between + 4 and + 6 degrees C

If the glass of water is above 6 degrees C then it is not safe to trust the fridge.

Make sure you leave the glass of water in the fridge for 24 hours before you carry out the testing of the water temperature then try every 2 hours to see if the temperature of the water has changed as the temperature of the water should remain stable.

Something has been spilled in the fridge eg milk, cream, etc etc.

This has then entered the drain onto the drain tray.

You will have to clean the compressor drain tray and put some anti bacterial surface cleaner in the tray, lemon smell cleaner is normally the best.

Re: Faults in frost free freezers

It sounds like the drain has frozen.

If you can get someone to look after your food for 48 hours / 2 days and turn off the fridge freezer at the mains this should allow the drain to clear.

If the problem of ice returns within a few weeks then you will have a problem with the defrost system or drain non return valve.

And you would need an engineer, You can try the find me an engineer on this site.

Most likely you have an isolator switch switch for the mains power to the oven.

If you have mains power to the oven then check you have a time set on the oven clock.

Re: Big problems after bulb blow tripped out mains,CDA range

For your own safety I would get CDA out or a local gas safe engineer if it is a duel fuel oven.

It could be cheaper in the long run as your mains supplier may charge you for a second call if you blow the main supply fuse again.

Or even worse if the short burns into the gas system it could result in a bigger BANG.

Look what happened to Rod Hull / Emu when he fell off the roof trying to repair the TV ariel

Also if you have fuse’s then you have no RCD unit so if you get a shock you may not get a second chance.

Have you checked the door seal all around for leaks if any air gets in it will frost up.

Re: Beko CDA543FW-2 fridge freezer air sensor replacement

I have repaired a few with the same problem.

In most case’s the control model fails and the appliance stops working.

I have had about three with the. Fridge frosting up and have replaced the
Potentiometer & Module and it has solved the problem.

So without being able to test the fridge / freezer I am pretty sure this will cure the problem.

The PCB and control are not expensive and easy to replace so it is worth giving it a go

    Re: Baumatic BV12.5 Integrated Freezer

The freezer temperature should be any where between -18c & -22c so I would say the

Freezer is working perfectly and nothing to worry about.

I would set the control to 2 to make sure nothing defrost as it can sometimes if the control is set to low.

Re: Beko CDA543FW-2 fridge freezer air sensor replacement

Beko are correct it does not have an air sensor on this model.

The sensor in the freezer is the defrost sensor.

The sensor and thermal cut out in the freezer only controls the auto defrost and not the temperature.

The temperature is controlled by the potentiometer and control module.

If you have ice on the bottom of the fridge is the drain hole at the back inside the fridge blocked.

If the back of the fridge gets cold and frost evenly on the wet wall at the back then
It is the control potentiometer and control module/PCB that you need to replace both cheap on this model.
