    Re: Diplomat D/W ADP8234

Turned out to be crud in the bottom of the sump, preventing the one way flap from opening, and the water from flowing in freely – so back up in the air break causing the leak 8)

Thanks for the tips guys 😀

Thanks for the reply Alan. Never dismantled one of these water tanks before, is it as easy as it looks, a couple of screws & the large plastic screw on nut at the top of the tank?

    No hidden surprises?

This type of fault can often be attributed to a loose edge connector on the pcb at the front of the machine – disconnect it squeeze connections together and reconnect, might be all that’s needed 😉

Good luck! could be Xmas come early 😀

Almost certainly the askoll motor at fault 😡 Will need replacing with the new type 😥 Had to change alot of these in the past – only a matter of time before everyone of them will need changing ❗

    Thanks for that senseib.

I have found the door interlock on Connections, but they are out of stock of the relay board. In view of the lack of relay “click” when the start button is used do you think it’s the relay board that I need?

    Best regards,
    Alan.
p.s. are these the correct part numbers
    1702778 Stock code: 204550 £11.62+
    C00141683 Stock code: 249677 £16.45+

Part numbers are correct – both available at Qualtex see stock codes above. Suggest you follow hotpnt’s tip first before ordering.

Once again! just as a matter of record – the fault on this machine was the user board. Just in case someone has the same fault in the future.

    Re: Hoover W/D HW6316M

Just for future reference – it was the dryer module at fault on this machine, the little pcb at the back that’s screwed to the base, any leaks on the machine it gets showered – brilliant 😯

I would say module – EMW to keep costs down is an option. 🙁

Although I bet if the Baron is around he could tell you what part to change on the module! 8)
