    To enter diagnostics
    Power off at console
Hold Down WASH TEMPDOWN Then press POWER
Two Beeps LET GO of Wash temp power buttons
Then press Advance Once then spin buttons etc
The machine will exit diag mode if you press power at any time after the initial stage .
    There is no Code 214
Fault Code will be displayed if within last 8 cycles
IF water filling slowly more than likely water valve but check hose filters as Tap End
    Water valve Test
    Power off at console
Hold Down WASH TEMPDOWN Then press POWER
Press Water temp down to Activate Cold valve
Press Water temp up to Activate Hot

Re: Fisher and Paykel Smart Drive GW501

    Fault Code 131
Rotor Position Sensor (RPS)Error Firstly check under washer for any signs of leaking .Check connections to RPS Sensor (Sensor Is located Under bowl In Motor Area )
RPS sensor connections commonly corrode & can Cause displayed fault
If You do See Signs of leaking water in this area it will probably be due to failed main seal .Water leaks onto RPS >
The motor controller (PCB ) can also be at fault for this Code To be displayed

    Re: F&P GW709 no power

You wont fine a fuse on this Baby
Pump is part of power circuit
    Check pump (Should read 33ohm)
Pump has a thermal fuse if overheats it will cut power supply to PCB
If pump has gone out on overload it it should reset after 15-20Mins
    and restore power
If Not Its Either shagged pump Or Motor Controller
If it is motor controller suggest checking water valves as Well (Should Read 64 Ohm) valves have a tendency to take out Motor Controller when they fail
    especially the hot one

Re: Fisher and Paykel 701 Smartdrive

    Fault Code130
    Rotor Position Sensor (RPS)Error
Likely causes are bad Connection at Wiring harness
Faulty RPS (corroded Terminals Usually )
    Faulty Motor Controller (MAin PCB)

Check Wiring Harness especially At RPS (RPS is located near Motor under bowl )
Check for Signs of Water leakage
Main Seal can give way leaking slightly onto RPS
If This is All clear Etc Then Unfortunately seems like Motor Controller

Re: Help Please, F & P MW512 Pride washing machine wont

Lets Check the pump first POWER OFF
Sounds like Something has stuck in Pump
Pump located under bowl of washer
Tip Washer Back & Give The Pump Fan a Bit of A Turn
If there is Something Caught in there This May Free It up
Other wise you may Have To remove Pump itself
    Pump Clicks Into Place
Check around pump for nay signs of Water leakage

The suggetion for warm washes is to do with the detergent build up/Sludge you get if only washing in Cold Water
The Detergents dont break down properly in cold water ( especially in Winter when cold water is COLD )
For best results usde Warm to Hot Wash Depending on garments
Put is this Way do you wash your dishes in cold Water?
    Just turn on Hot Tap
    READ Your Manual

    Re: F&P IW709 washer – noisy bearings

When you say top of inner bowl distorted Are you referring to splash guard or top of bowl These can crack /break usally when somethine gets caught in it.
Vibration /Clacking noise probably due to stiff Suspension Rods
Try greasing if not successfiul you may have to change
As Pen suggests you would hear definite bearing noise if bearings shagged

    Re: Fisher Paykel GW709

Machine wont Spin Until All The water is Pumped out(ie Bowl lifts up as it is
draining to release clutch to allow bowl to spin freely)
    Check pump for blockages
Check to see if pump is overheating
Pump has a thermal cut out if Pump gets to hot it will Shut down
When pump cools it will pump
If as you say it is cutting out on pump wise to check also Out Balance Switch
Does it stop & start on fill ??

Sorry for delay (trying to put kid thru school)

    Re: Fisher Paykel GW709

    Fault code 50
    Faulty Hot Valve
Measure Resistance Should read 64 Ohm

Note Also Your model can give Fault code 50 when the washer powers
off after spinning There will be no fault if this happens

Re: F&P Smartdrive GW701 – Error Code Help

    OK From The start
Your Complaint I Gather is That the Machine Stops & Starts On Fill ?

If This is the case Check OOB Balance Micro Switch (Is there any corrision on terminals?)
If Switch is Dicky the machine Thinks its OOB(Out of balance) & Will Stop Filling or Spinning
Check Bracket that houses Micro switch (Tabs Broken?)
Check under Machine Can You See any Signs of Leaking Water Etc
(Water can leak from main seal onto Rotor postion Sensor & Corrode Connections)
Run Diagnostics Again & List Fault That comes Up (if Possible)

Re: F&P Smartdrive 701 problems, fault code

    Fault Code 48

Motor Controller has measured voltages from valve diagnostic circuit that indicate hot & cold valves are faulty
    Check wiring harness to valves
    Check valves
Motor controller Faulty (valve drivers ,valve diagnostic circuit)

    Re: 701 Wont start!!!!

701 Lid Switch is part of the display module
There is a little plastic piece that the lid hits to activate
The fault also could be due to dicky start button (Which is part of the Display module) When pressing the start button you should feel the same sensation as when pressing other buttons an the control panel
    Display module Part # 426033p $130 Aud

Re: F+P 051, Phase 1 Washing Machine Error

Fault code 43 OOB (Out of Balance)Error
Out Balance Micro Switch Likely culprit
    Micro switch terminals Corrode
Switch located Control panel region under main Control Module RHS
Also check bracket that houses Switch not broken

There Are several references to this fault on this forum

    Power OFF

Secondary cause can also be Main Motor controller (Big Bickies)
