Well I went to this yesterday and it’s pretty obviously a loose connection somewhere. Trouble is finding where. There are about ten seconds after start during which it makes up its mind whether to work or not. So pushing and pulling wires during repeated re-starts I eventually discovered that if I held the loom up firmly towards the top of the module it would work consistently. So I tied the loom to the top of the plastic module case (drilling a small hole in the plastic to put the tie through 😯 -no doubt Jim’ll do his nut 😆 ) and left it working. I’ve arranged to return in a couple of weeks with some jockeys for the noisy t/dryer. It would be nice to be able to have a finger ready on the button to order new wiring loom(s) if needed. Has anybody ever fitted new looms to these? I can’t find much on connect except the little blue one for communication errors.

PS one other clue – got an E30 at one point suggesting p/sw. so I think it’s one of those connectors.leavemetogetonwithit

Timer AKO 513316 is common cause of this. Get a recon from EMW to try in. He might be OOS though because he posted one to me today.

Have you tried disconnecting hoses to pressure switch(es)?

If you look at mediator on connect, there are scores of models for Beko cookers. Nearest I could find was DVC5522S. Suggest that might be worth a look.

ParticipantRe: scrappage scheme …..for white goods…!!!!
I can’t remember if there’s been a thread about the car scrappage scheme. I imagine there has been one. I really think that scheme is the most idiotic waste of my taxes that could have possibly been thought of. (Except for assisting our ally across the pond to wage Vietnam vs.2 and vs.3).
I think we need to get our acts together and protest strongly against this even more stupid idea of scrapping whitegoods on the pretext of “benefitting the environment”. It’s really about keeping a few jobs going until the election. And there’s probably some behind the scenes deals going on in the EU context because most of the whitegoods “we” buy come from Italy, don’t they?
Maybe we could jointly draft a letter of protest and each send it to our local MP. 💡 .Probably wouldn’t have a huge effect but sitting on our butts moaning on here to each other has even less.

It’s the economy, stupid.
Gotta get it movin’ anyhow we can. So chant the mantra and believe, “Buy more stuff! Buy more stuff!”

082600368 or ELE3994 from Connect fits lots of farmhouse models. I’d be surprised if yours is different.

You can just about read that number 546089203 off the enlarged pics on connections. I would say that was correct.
Connect also have a drain pump for it under their in-house number :rolls: 5045173407565 at £34.82 😯 but it looks like any Askoll/Plaset three screw pump would fit. Looks like original has TOC, but you could probably use coil from old one if it’s not burnt out.

Thanks, that’s one possibility but very unlikely round here as water is very soft and bocked pressure switches very rare. Still, I think that’s a useful pointer that i should check connections around p/sw.

The last time I fitted a brand new motor was about 18 months ago. I’ve got it back in stock now because the machine was terminated after a further year. (Gave ’em a partial refund as it was friends). Funny how many jobs I go to where I’m told that a previous engineer had fitted a new motor/ timer/ module or some other expensive part but I can find no sign of such a thing. 😕

Sort of related to this question, why don’t modern pumps have an earth connection? Are they classed as double insulated?

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
Five re-cons a week! That’d be a good two weeks work for me even if I had the premises, the transport and most of all the customers ready to pay £125. And then to be able to find the raw machines. I guess you must be in a large urban centre.
Well, respect to you for being so industrious when others would accept defeat.
