ParticipantHi Bob , to be honest , these machines normally have a fault display so if its beeping twice and the start light flashes , i’d say the door hasn’t latched for some reason.
The washing machines are the same. 2 beeps after pushing the start button means door not shut.

ParticipantF01 indicates door open

ParticipantAccording to my paperwork , If its the wash light flashing then this would indicate a heating problem. I’d check the heater for continuity/earth leakage and the board for any blown relays/track

ParticipantCertainly sounds like a slow drain prob – F04 is ‘not draining ‘ with a 6 minute cut off time. If it started happening on the rinse cycle then that would suggest a slow drain but if its now showing up every time then i’d guess either the drain pump is blocked/faulty or the drain hose/container is all clogged

ParticipantFirst off , if its not taking conditioner it prob won’t be the drawer. More than likely It’ll be the holes in the roof of the detergent drawer area blocked.
If you look up into the roof , look at a spot in the middle approx 1 -2 inches from the front . There should be 4 little square holes…….probably filled up with black mould !!! Get yourself a long electrical cable tie and have a good poke around in the holes. You should be able to get the cable tie into the holes and get it pushed right in ( the cable tie will need ‘feeding’ in as its quite a shallow channel ) You can know use the cable tie like a ‘chimney sweeps brush’ clearing out and loosening any debris/mould in there.
Once cleaned out , put the appliance on an empty 90*C wash to flush through the machine. You should do this once a month.
Finally , when not in use , leave the appliance door and drawer slightly open to allow good air circulation and the drawer/door area to dry out.
The beep i will check tomorrow as i’m not at home at the moment

ParticipantI would suggest checking the base pan for water. You may have an anti-flood device in the base being operated by some water laying in the baseplate

ParticipantIf you’ve cleaned the ribbed hose properly then it will probably need a strip down and clean of the pressure chamber…..or a new pressure chamber if you don’t want the hassle of cleaning the pressure chamber

ParticipantYou could check between the heater terminals and earth…..Should be almost infinite resistance but any kind of reading and there’s the prob. Element probably has a hole in it and is shorting to earth when power is applied to the element during the heating phase .

ParticipantThe heater element should be between 27 – 33 ohms. TBH , it is better to test at the heater terminals themselves……..BUT PLEASE REMEMBER TO POWER OFF AND UNPLUG IF YOU’RE GOING TO DO ANY TESTING
….and if the appliance is tripping approx 7 – 10 mins into a wash then 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance its the heater elementHTH

Participantyou have to enter the test programme to reset the F21 fault…..but its normally the module that causes thi fault . They suffer from electrical ‘spikes’ and there is a modified board i think.
Anyway , to enter the test programme ,set the selector switch to the 6 o’clock position and whilst holding down the spin speed button , turn the selector switch one click clockwise. after a couple of seconds release the spin speed button . On the first try F21 may still show but if you switch off the machine should be reset.

ParticipantMick , its unlikley to be the motor. TBH , it’ll prob be something like the transformer or board as these are quite a ‘busy’ piece of kit.
Try the BSH website for an exploded view – You will need the full ENR to get the right appliance –

ParticipantCheck the flood protection float in the base for either water there or maybe the floor panel ‘bent’ slightly upwards operating the flood protection system . This will stop the aquastop from operating although it will buzz as if its trying to work .

ParticipantCheers Dave. Can’t believe that they don’t come as a spare part but i suppose it means that people will have to replace their iron rather than repair it . Oh well , I’ll have to give the M-I-L the bad news 🙁
