Re: Stoves oven coming on when off

I’ve had this with brand new stat’s out of the bag, in off position switch is made but as soon as you turn it slightly clockwise it goes open circuit & then closed again.
    So much for quality control.

Some Miele dishwashers have a screw adjuster at top of machine, when door is open. You may have to lift seal to see it, from memory anti clockwise to lessen tension, clockwise to increase tension.
Other frestanding Miele dishwashers, take off top panel & side panels, spring can be hooked into diferent positions.
Door should sit at 45 degrees without closing or falling open when tension is correct.

Re: miele dishwasher fill/drain light on

Sounds like a low water pressure fault, machine starts after certain time has elapsed & if not enough water is in to activate level switch when circulation pump is started you get a fault.
Worth checking why its slow to fill, perhaps filter in inlet pipe is dirty.
If its got a waterproof type solenoid fitting on end of hose, you can take out the water restrictor with long nose pliers, ( its like a small black washer ).

Time can be extended by going into service mode but check fill problem first.

As you look into drum, backplate section comes off. There are machine screws/allen head screws. Two of these are hidden & you may have to turn drum to locate these. Heater can then be located & is secured by 2 screws these can be removed & heater assembly taken out. 2 Thermostats on early type heater & one ‘stat on newer type.

Re: One piece welded tub seized solid!

There is a modification kit available from Electrolux for the HEC machines to prevent small items of underwear/socks etc getting down between drum & tub. It consists of a modified door gasket & 3 pieces of plastic which fit under door gasket. 50293369000 is the part num’.
This will help to prevent things getting blocked but doesn’t address the problem of poor quality parts in the first place causing breakdowns.

Pressure switch with tubing is overflow switch, theres another level switch mounted on circulation pump, circuit diagram behind control board, if no-one has nicked it. Overlow sw’ listed B1/2 in diagram, float sw’ B8/3, reed sw’/flowmeter B3/4. You can meter switches valves etc from PCB.

132120226 or 1324017209 are listed as non configured boards for this machine.
    97391479116607 is the configured board.
Electrolux now only supply the configured type, presume other suppliers still have old stocks of non configured boards.

Not sure how to configure this board type but as far as i’m aware all new boards have a serial interface connection point (J7 on this board) & in future Service Force engineers will be able to reconfigure all boards using a laptop and SideKick software.
    😳

As Helo stated, code for new board will have to be copied off old one and new board then configured, theres a white sticker on old board with the code written on it.
Its not that easy to do if you haven’t done it before.

Overflow switch or float switch in machine base prevents water coming in if made.
Check for water in base or sticking switch, also check for inlet filters blocked.
Circuit diagram of dishwasher is located behind controller.
Float switch is listed B8/3 in circuit diagram, overflow switch is B1/2 in series with inlet valve.
You can use your meter to check for 240V to Y2 (inlet valve) at control board, there should be 240V on those connections when programme starts.

Fill time can be extended if theres a water pressure issue.

Points towards a faulty timer, there are NTCs on some of these early machines that i’d look at or resettable overheat switches, not the type with the reset button but one that resets after it has cooled down.

Take a look at those first, most problems i’ve had with these machines have been caused by poor water pressure & heater stopping because pressure dropped, by overfoaming sometimes.

Think there were two types of shoes, are you sure you’ve fitted the correct ones? I think i remember if the incorrect ones were fitted it causes overheating.
