Take the salad bins out, there should be a label there. Model number plus two 12 digit numbers. If you post the first 12 digit number that lets us look at the exact model.

Ta for that. D/W isn’t actually overheating, just won’t step on.
I’ll check out the spray arm issue, sounds right to me.Brian

Good one. No I have to admit I didn’t check the top spray arm. I’ve ordered new door stats so I’ll check the spray arms when I return.
Any more hints? 😛
Ta for the input lads.Brian

Is the syphon tube actually there? Another thing to check is that the machine is level. Had this couple of weeks ago, wouldn’t syphon until machine was levelled.

Had similar thoughts about the heater so changed it out, no problems with it.
Also changed the screw in stat along with the other one under the tub. Water gets hot enough to produce steam, maybe too hot?
The two in the door were supposedly changed by another engineer but can’t say for certain that they were.
Spent ages this morning metering the wiring and checking for breakages but all appears ok.
Still stumped 😕Brian

Have you checked that the hose attached to it is clear? There should be a piece of hose on the rear that runs down to the container on top of the compressor.

Had a couple of these (and a few Samsungs with a sock stuck between the drums at the dispenser hose.
Check there’s no blockage where the dispenser hose fits the outer tub.DP

Ok, remove the bottom spray arm and start the machine up, if there’s plenty of water being shoved out then the spray arms are blocked, if there’s enough water in the machine and very little being pumped I’d have to suspect a faulty wash pump motor or a blockage in the wash pump.

KW got it right. The dispenser in the door, open the right hand flap and pour rinse aid in there, carefully though. Try not to spill any into the machine as this could cause you problems when you wash. There’s an indicator to show the level of rinse aid. The black switch numbered 1 to 5 (or 6) should be set to 3 for normal water area, less for soft water and more for hard water.
Open the left hand flap and put your powder in there. Close the flaps, switch on, select your program and press start. Shut the door and it’ll wash the dishes for you.
You don’t need to select the program every time you use it, it should remember the last program used so it’s a case of switch on, press start and shut the door.
Hope this helps.

Hiya, I’ve waited a long time for a question to come up that I can answer.
Your machine is made by Whirlpool and the 12 digit model number should be 854500215820.
Dead simple machine to use. Press and hold the start button till the light goes out, press the button to the left of start to select the programme you want, press the start button, light comes on, close the door and away it goes. On/Off button is on the left side of the control panel top.
Hope this helps.DP

More likely it’s a faulty thermostat. Dave should be able to give you a price on this.

ParticipantRe: diplomat dishwasher ADP 8322 INT(DISPENSER FAULT)
It’s not a fault with the dispenser, if the tablet isn’t disolved/washed out of the dispenser then the spray arms aren’t turning and jetting properly. The tablet falls out of the dispenser into the cutlery basket when you open the door and the dispenser door fully opens.
Check that the holes in the arms are clear of debris and that they rotate freely. Also check that the pipe feeding the top arm is plugged in at the back of the bottom filter.
If all of the above are ok you need to listen and judge if the water is being pumped through properly. If not, engineer time I’m afraid.DP

ParticipantRe: Belling IDW603 with detergent problem
Most dishwashers the flap doesn’t spring up all the way, it only opens onto the top basket and the tablet is washed out/disolved by the water being sprayed. (You’ll hear the flap clunk when you open the door after a wash has completed).
Check that the spray arms are clear and that they are free to rotate. (anything hanging from the top basket within it’s radius will stop the top arm rotating).DP

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADP5966 6th Sense dishwasher – fan drying cycl
At the point the fan should kick in is there a lot of steam inside the dishwasher? As far as I remember the fan is used to stop condensation forming on the crockery by getting rid of the steam. If there’s no steam, there’s no heat and if there’s no heat and no error code it’s most likely a module fault.
