Re: Noisy Bosch WFF1201 Washing Machine ??

tomba wrote:Hi, my Bosch WFF1201 is nine years old, regularly (10 times a week) used and has developed what appears to be a similar problem over last 3 months. Intermittent failure to ‘drain’ and reluctance to progress past ‘4’ on dial. It has developed a loud ‘machine gun’ rattling droning vibrating noise during the cycle but it’s not always there(?). Filter is cleaned and clear (wee bit sand…tiny amount, honest, that’s all).
Could this be the same as your problem requiring the £29.95 + £3.45 dely pump? Will the pump sort all noises as well?
    Thanks.

The ‘machine gun’ rattling sounds like a foreign object in the pump….you’d be surprised how much noise a 5pence piece in your pump will make !!! They sometimes have a habit of ‘popping’ in and out of the drain hose into the pump before being flicked back up . The way i sometimes deal withit is to wait till it makes the noise again ,then stop the appliance , drain manually and the check the pump/impellor – Always power off though when doing this

This was due to the pump out cycle that seemed to pump out the waste water. After the first pump out, more water was let into the sump and the pump started pumping out simultaneously.. This nonsense went on for the full 10 minutes until eventually the sump was full and the next cycle started.

This may have been a re-generation cycle where the appliance was flushing out the water softener ❓

    Re: Banging Bosch

Does it only happen when the machine is filling ? There is an inlet pipe that can get blocked and this causes a back-up of water which can switch the inlet valve on/off . The best way to describe the noise is a ‘kle-dunk kle-dunk kle-dunk’ as the water flows into the tub .
If this seems like it , then check threads on Bosch dishwashers with filling probs – lots of good info in them 🙂

Does this model have a flow meter on the fill hose ? I havn’t got my laptop to hand to check but if it has , these can sometimes go faulty giving this fault

Re: Bosch Dishwasher (sorry don’t have model number)

I have had 2/3 of these faults and each time it was a problem with the customers domestic wiring –

The socket would show 240v when switched on but no earth….switch the socket off and you would still get 110v showing at the actual socket itself – Thats where i would check first

    Not sure about that fact.

Maybe he meant built ‘for’ the UK , judging by the later info 🙂

Re: Bosch KUR1505 fridge door seal wearing

The seal would probably not be the problem . If its a built in fridge , with a front decor door , i’d be checking the hinges first . They can sometimes break and cause the door to drop. I’d also look to see if your fridge has ‘dropped’ back . If the fridge has been pushed back over time , the decor door might be hitting the cupboard that the fridge is installed in , thus stopping it from shutting properly.

I have been told that the machine is about 18 months to 2 years old, but has only been used for about a fortnight.

I’ve a feeling that it was the WAA models that had this problem –

Re: BOSCH WAE2416S knocking whilst spinning

try it again and when it starts knocking , try putting pressure on the lid . I’ve had one where the lid wasn’t seated properly and the lid would start knocking as the spin hit its higher speed . In the end a small rubber washer placed on the lid fixing lug stopped the noise

Is the bottom arm actually turning during a cycle ? If your saying the wash motor inpellor is clear , what happens if you run it with the lower spray arm removed ? Could it be a loose spray arm losing pressure
    ?
