Best to do this through door with machine tipped back. Fiddly job to do, but a lot easier than removing front panel.

Re: bosch wae24162gb/03 motor issues – any1 else had same pr

Whenever I’ve had problems with Bosch brushes cutting into the armature it’s inevitably that the customer has realised the machine doesn’t spin, but has continued to wash clothes for a fortnight because they don’t want to pay to have it fixed and hope the problem will solve itself.

Problem with the type of customer that buys these cheap Bosch rather than the motors per se I think… but maybe I could be unlucky. Motor appears to be identical to those fitted to higher end machines but not sure if Belay would use different brushes?

Before trying to remove the switch have you done a continuity test and seen if it remains open circuit with the lid closed? I’ve had very few problems with the interlocks on these, it’s almost always the programmer.

Re: Electrolux Inspire EDC 77570W error code 50

Before you order something are you sure about the E51 error code? Normally this would only be shown in engineer test mode, consumer mode only shows general E50 errors.

Motor triac is three legged component on PCB motor circuit. Unless you are competent and can understand PCBs then you really need to call an engineer, as we can’t provide wiring diagrams as per forum rules.

you say you have only used it 15 times mine is on more than that every month.
    check the brushes.

No brushes on an induction motor? 😕

E51 is motor triac. You need to obtain a new triac, which cost a few quid, and solder it onto the PCB. Worth also meggering the motor to check insulation is okay.

Had quite a few DD problems with the hall sensor causing LE error code, guarantee is worthless as LG take 3months+ to fix it, who can live without a washing machine for 3 months?

Luckily the electronics tend to fail after five years and can’t easily be fixed due to that nasty resin stuff over the PCB. Surprised you recommend LG over German Boschs (not the Spanish ones).

    Re: bosch wfr2860 not spinning

Your machine has an out of balance sensor which will stop it spinning small loads because it can’t evenly distribute them around the drum.

    Re: Zanussi ZWF10070W won’t spin

    Hi Matt,

We can’t give out diagnostic info I’m afraid – forum rules

7/ Technical information. This is very often specifically copyright to a given manufacturer and will not be publically quoted in the forums.

but if it’s not spinning primary suspect is motor brushes anyway. Check those and report back.

If the element is OC then replace it? 😕 Surely you’ve done the troubleshooting yourself?

    Re: Repair authorisation

I’ve had this in the past, explained to them that it’s fine but if they don’t want to pay for the repair then I keep & sell the machine to pay for the parts and time. If they complain I just point out to them that they made a verbal contract with me to pay for the repair, and that otherwise I’ll be forced to use small claims to recover the monies owed.

Heaters quite often go OC on these, sometimes taking the module with them too.

When you say “checked” the heater how did you check it? It needs to be meggered to test insulation. Power off first.

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius Wf240 Heater relay stuck?

Heater relay is integrated with the Indesit-build PCB. Check connections between PCB and heater but almost always you will need a new/reconditioned PCB, which isn’t cheap.

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius WM62 coin inside?

Most washing machines you’d have a hunt around through the sump hose and heater first but to be honest taking off the front of the drum on a WM is so easy best just to do this.

Be careful not to damage the heater when taking it out/putting it back in. Also, in the trade we use a special adhesive to reseal the front of the drum back on – if you don’t have this be extra sure it’s not leaking. You may want to run a band of silicon sealant around the edge to be on the safe side :).
