    Re: ISE 10 washing machine

    Well I’m none the wiser….

The customer has done five washes since my visit and all is well. 😮

He says there is still a lingering electrical smell but nothing as strong as when he switched it off Friday afternoon.

    Fingers crossed anyway.

I told him that I’m away for a fortnight from next week so I’m sure I will get a last minute panic call from him???

    Re: BOSCH WVT12842GB/06 E04 fault ??

E04 is an NTC related fault.

If wiring and heater are ok then change the NTC.

(Did you insulation test the heater?)

LJ you must stop being so sensitive.

My ‘pratting about’ comment was in regards to these Samsung machines, not to all makes and models.

I find cleaning, levelling, poking, adjusting, jabbing, staring & SERVICING does work on many other makes.

    🙂

    I agree with Rob.

Change the dispenser upper assy. When I did in-guarantee work for Samsung this was the only way to sort it.

I did loads of pratting about, at first, with pressure, machine levels & cleaning none of it worked with these Samsung machines.

I sent details as requested but no e-mail in response.

    Has anyone had any response?

    Re: Hotpoint WF566

Changed pressure switch and now running a treat.

I had a pressure switch for a WD860 which switched the same. (Normal operating and safety.)

The only thing is it may be filling a bit higher. Instead of just below the door seal the level now just touches the glass.

The customer has just run a towel wash on the 30 degree cottons and all is well.

    😀

    Re: Hoover not spinning

    Have you run the diagnostics?

Does it error / flash at you when it dosen’t spin?

Maybe a partial blockage or heater fault?

    Re: WF630

If you’ve done any WMA’s you’ll be fine. Especially when it comes to running the wiring loom, much easier to get it nice and tidy.

Your call on just bearings or backhalf. Do watch out if its 30mm or 35mm bearings as this will restrict you if you are wanting to change the backhalf.

(Can’t get 30mm backhalfs. Use a 35mm backhalf and change the spider.)

Are you taking it away to repair?

Re: john lewis jltdc05 all lights up fine but not starting

Assuming its a condenser dryer, have you checked the microswitch at the bottom near the condenser?

Check all the obvious things first.

Brushes, heater, valves, pressure and drainage system.

    Module unlikely.

Run the machine a number of times on the hottest cycle going.

Eventually you should find the minutes will become more realistic.

The machine has extended the cycle times due to the problems you have now sorted.

Did you insulation test the machine?

    Particularly the heater.

Other than that, more likely the module.

    Re: Accounting Question

12 months ago I took over a ‘Step Aerobics’ business. I put the expenses through my business and pay in the monies taken at the door by writing out an invoice on a monthly basis. This invoice is exactly the same as my primary business.

Just for tidies, and the accountants, sake I keep separate spreadsheets for the ‘Step Aerobics’ side of things.

My accountant said this is fine.

    Dishwasher water removal

Assuming the dishwasher is circulating, place a washing up bowl on the bottom basket and remove the upper spray arm. Get dishwasher to run and the water will go into the bowl. This can be repeated until all water is removed.

For the water thats left in the filter area use a large basting pipette to extract.

Then the pump can be removed for unblocking with no mess and often no removal of machine.
