ParticipantThe symbol may show both on at the same time but it doesn’t work that way . If it’s left on long enough , does the fan come back on ? Its the way Circotherm grilling is controlled .

ParticipantBefore you order a pulley , check for movement between he inner and outer drums by grabbing them at the front edges. If there is any play on theinner drum i.e you can move it or wobble it in relation to the outer drum , then its probably the bearngs gone again. Have never had problems with Pulley on these.

ParticipantThe spring and two hooks are the retaining ring . If you look around the edge of the door seal you’ll see the metal wire ring in the outer groove . Prise this off , by the spring , and this will allow you to re-position the door seal and then locate the oute edge to secure it.
To re-fit the retaining ring is a bit fiddly and needs some ‘muscle’ but the best way is to place the spring at the bottom of the seal , keep the LHS part of the spring in the groove and feed the rest of the ring around the seal’s edged groove. Once done , thi should leave about a quarter of the ring still outside the groove on the RHS…..now stretch the spring , to allow the rest of the ring to get seated .

ParticipantThe flow rate meter detects the incoming water rate and sends a signal to the module which will then decide how long it needs to open the inlet valve for .
If the appliance is filling/draining/filling/draining before it actually starts washing then its 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure its the flow rate meter thats faulty . Common prob as the flow meter doesn’t send a pulse to the control module so it doesn’t know how fast the water’s flowing in.
You may get the ‘check water’ light come up….Part number 424099

ParticipantRing Bosch on the number supplied with your paperwork and they should send you out a new instruction manual free of charge and this will also have instructions on how to turn off the beep .
Note that it isn’t really a manual….more of a pamphlet .As to your question on longevity and machine life , these appliances are a new design and have only been on the market for less than 2 years so any long term probs havn’t shown yet…..and there’s not any major faults showing with them in the short term yet !!!

ParticipantFirst things first – is the appliance drain hose plumbed in or does it go straight to a standpipe ?
If its plumbed in direct to your sink waste , i’d be disconnecting that end first and checking that you havn’t got a build up of sludge in the connection ‘strangulating’ the drain hose and slowing down the drain time .nomadPaul
ParticipantThe 4 clips are the clue here . These are what lock the new…..and therefore the old handle in position. Are the clips square with a hole in them and maybe a raised lip on the front of the clip ? You will need to ‘release’ these locking clips to allow removal of the old handle . Match up the new handle to the old to see where the clips are located and then you’ve got to sort of lever the old ones out . Be careful as you can mark the top of the door and the clips may well snap off too but as long as they’re off the old handle , thats not a prob. The new one then just ‘clips’ in to the locating gaps which are revealed once the old handle is removed.
Sorry if that dosn’t sound easy but its hard to describe what to do without an example in front of me !!!

ParticipantYou said in your first post that you had cleaned out the gunge in the plastic microswitch/float chamber and it is here that you should see a red plastic plunger/rod which sits on a polystyrene float in the base. The top of the rod will operate a microswitch if raised by water in the base.If there is any water in the base , this polysytene float will be ‘lifted’ by water and you will be able to feel this .
As i said though , if this is the case , the pump would be operating constantly , even with the door open probably so i don’t think this is the problem.
Have you electronically re-set the appliance ? There should be marked around the cycle buttons the word ‘reset’ with 2 buttons marked with dots. These , when pushed together , will reset the appliance back to ‘0’. Try this and then start a cycle again from the beginning and see what happens .

ParticipantIf there is water in the base , the red ‘stick’ , which is part of the microswitch/red float assembly will be lifted but this will cause the pump to run continuously.
I would be checking to make sure the water supply to the appliance hasn’t been turned off – Always start with the simple things first 🙂

ParticipantIs the 5 second spin a very quick Whizz ? or a slow turn ? If its a very fast , short spurt of a spin then its possible that the motor tacho is kaput or there’s a broken wire on the motor loom

ParticipantThe hot air (fan) setting will go no higher than 200*C – its setting range is 40*c to 200*c so if it will set to 200*c and no more , then its working fine.It should tell you all the ranges….and they do differ…in your instruction manual

ParticipantCould you post up a photo of it on here ?
Take a pic , load it up to photobucket and then link to it so we can see exactly what the ‘spare’ part looks like.

ParticipantCheers mate….so i guess oven out , back plate off , inside plate off and jobs a good ‘un ?

ParticipantDid you check the IC on the control module ? Sometimes if the diverter valve goes , it takes out the chip on the main board .You can see the top of the IC broken off if this is the case .
I’d also look to make sure the new heater was seurely fitted and not leaking onto the diverter motor from one of the seals .
